Founded in 1878, the Old Whitgiftian Cricket Club is part of the Whitgift Sports Club. Until 1970, all members of the Cricket Club were former pupils of Whitgift School. However, in recent years the Club has been open to cricketers of all abilities.

Senior Cricket takes place at the Clubhouse on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between mid-April and mid-September. The Old Whitgiftian Cricket Club 1st XI plays in Surrey Championship Division 1. There are 3 other Saturday XIs and 1/2 Sunday XIs. Spectators are very welcome. Fixtures, results and statistics for all OWCC teams, together with team sheets and news items, can be found at www.owcc.org.

To play cricket for the OWCC, you will need to become a member of the Whitgift Sports Club. You will also then be able to take advantage of the many member benefits available, including discounted bar prices and discounted rates for hiring the facilities. Colts Cricket

Approximately 200 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16 play cricket throughout the week during the season. Parents are encouraged to support the various teams which play competitive matches and also to use the clubhouse facilities.
