Whitgift Sports Club

Whitgift Sports Club is based in South Croydon, offering first class facilities for both a venue for hire and sporting facilities.

The club is available to hire for parties, celebration events, meetings, Weddings, Christenings and  funeral gatherings for non-members.  Please see our hire of clubhouse page for more details. Or to make an enquiry please click here. 

Being located just outside of Croydon, Whitgift Sports club provides a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of the city.  With excellent transports links , we are only 20 minutes away from the centre of London.  With our extensive grounds it makes us the largest beer garden in Croydon.

We can offer the perfect setting for Weddings and with our team of experts on hand we can make your day a memorable one.

The club is also available for members to join our sporting teams or even join as a social member to enjoy the bar facilities on weekday evenings and weekends.  For more information on joining as a member please see our membership page

We offer Senior and Junior Rugby (over 200 youngsters from 6 to 16 receive coaching and play matches on a Sunday morning in the season). Our Senior 1st XV plays in the Surrey League I with the Wanderers and Warriors XVs also in their respective Leagues.

The Cricket 1st XI competes in the Saturday Surrey One League with the 2nd and 3rd XI also in competitive Leagues. Colts coaching and matches take place during the week and at weekends.

Our two Football teams play in London Leagues at an intermediate level and are always looking for more players.

Our Hockey Section is thriving and has four Mens’ and three Ladies’ teams who play on Saturdays. All matches are played on Astro pitches, usually close to Croydon.
